Yes I sew. I don't have the first one but this is my second shopping bag. Material is thrift store special with nylon web handles. Long handles are 26 inches. short are 14 inches with an 8 inch gap to the outsides. Should have gone 28 inches. This way over the shoulder or hand carry. Debating snaps on the top to close it up. Top hem has interfacing ironed into it to give it some shape.
