Ishani is an old char, who started out as an RP character between me and  Its-a-me-Yotieo before falling by the wayside. For an experiment I decided to see what she'd look like and, well, you can see the results!

Strengths:
* Ruthless - Ishani is a dominant woman with an iron will, and is not above using harsh methods to extract results. Her personality has been described as more fitting to a 16th century warlord than a modern-day officer.
* Tactician - Service in a special forces unit, followed by over a decade of mercenary activities, has left Ishani with a highly varied repertoire of tactical skills for dealing with a variety of opponents, from bog standard terrorists through to superpowered slave-traders.
* Mighty - Simply put, Ishani is a physical juggernaut, marrying mountaineer-levels of fitness to a gargantuan musculature.
* War chief - Ishani's considerable personal charisma has allowed her to build up a skilled team of permanent staff, in addition to a larger network of friends, hangers on and occasional collaborators. There are very few people in the world that she can't charm.

Weaknesses:
* Financially motivated - Ishani is a mercenary. While there are some jobs she'll never take, that list isn't very long. This has led to some of the more puritan heroes keeping her at arms distance, or regarding her with open distrust.
* Bad tempered - While she controls her emotions very tightly, Ishani is known for having a terrifying temper that, once aroused, is utterly implacable. She does not forgive slights lightly.
* Unpowered - while it is somewhat compensated for by her sheer physical stature, Ishani does not actually possess any innate superpowers, and must rely on her skills alone to best a superpowered adversary.

Bio:
Ishani Khabaria was born to an Indian Army family in the garrison town of Dehradun, in northern India. Her family were Rajputs, the traditional warrior caste of northern India, and from an early age Ishani was instilled with the warrior ethos of that people. Her father, a Major in the Garhwal Rifles, was killed fighting Pakistan in 1999. Undaunted by the loss, Ishani joined the Indian Army that same year. Her service remains obscure, but it is known that she took part in counter-terror operations in Kashmir, and may have been involved in clandestine operations against Pakistan and China.

In 2010, Ishani found herself at an impasse. Her career had slowed, and her prospects for long term promotion seemed poor. On top of this, Ishani found herself unable to let go of the battlefield. A dream began to form as she thought back to the stories of her ancestors. Her forefathers had fought as mercenaries. First for the Mauryans, then for the Mughals, and then for the British. What difference did it make if she took things to the international stage?

Thus, Ghatkorps was born. Starting small, Ishani built up a reputation by providing security to local politicians and shipping companies. As her clientele grew, she began to branch out into other areas. The rescue of a missing Japanese heroine bought her into contact with the superhero community, to whom she provides occasional services in that regard.

Personality:
Ishani knows she has presence, and revels in it. Ever ready with a witty remark, she combines generosity with an unyielding desire to dominate, be it on the battlefield or in bed. Her anger, when roused, is glacial rather than volcanic. She never forgets a favour, and never forgives a betrayal. Like a true Indian war chief, she both enjoys the finer things in life, and enjoys bestowing them upon her servants.
