At last, after over a decade and with a decent amount of art (and people) under her belt, Sierre finally has an actual full ref-sheet! Long overdue.
Her history has been pretty well told in other pieces already, but since this is a reference, here's a bit of recap:
In eons past, a group of creatures roamed the oceans of the world. Strong and resourceful predators, their insatiable appetites pulled them away from being confined to feeding solely on sea-life, and they began to develop some unique techniques to lure and entrap dwellers of the land as well. These creatures came to be known in myth as Sirens. Once the landwalkers began to develop their own civilizations and began expanding and traveling across the seas as well, various stories about sailors' run-ins with Sirens began to spread. Some may have been true, some may have been simple excuses to paper over poor navigation or other difficulties of coastline life. None remain anymore who could accurately sift all truth and lies. But as time passed, civilizations evolved, information about Siren activity began to spread, and thus so too did Sirens and their hunting styles need to evolve. Some Sirens, those having lived nearer to landed settlements and having more exposure to them, even began to occasionally take landwalkers as lovers, and well...you can imagine where some of the story goes from here.
Fast-forward generations on generations later, and we come to Sierre Ashtower, a kindly manatee woman just trying to make her way in the seaside city of Costa Caprica, while also doing her best to keep her familial heritage--and the unique qualities it grants her--under wraps. She has an innate love for music and a downright gorgeous singing voice, which is problematic when her singing voice also brings with it the magical quality to entrance and attract anyone within earshot to approach her. The popularity wouldn't be so bad if not for her appetite growing increasingly ravenous the longer anyone stays in her vicinity. Because of that, despite her genial nature, Sierre generally tries to avoid forming too many attachments to people and keeps to herself as much as she can.
Thankfully, living in the digital age, Sierre has found some workarounds. In order to share her passion and her natural talents without endangering the entire city around her, Sierre has converted part of her condo into a home studio, where she records her singing and keyboarding, which is then sent to her partner for production and release as half of the musical duo called Ivory Kiss. Ivory Kiss' music is exclusively released online, allowing both members of the duo to maintain anonymity, something which Sierre is keen to maintain as strictly as she possibly can. She remains insistent that Ivory Kiss will never perform live...mostly because if they did, there would be no audience left by the end of the show! Oh but what a feast it would be................
