Hidden away in one of the valleys of Jokhuda the Lipane explorers discovered the remains of a civilisation long lost in time, though very few ruins are still visible today as crumbled walls and piles of stone which left no clues about who once lived here.
But on top of a hill which overlooks the ruins are the remains of what may once have been a palace or bath house of some kind judging by the many different sized pools, next to one of these pools explorers found a peculiar moss covered statue which might provide a clue about the previous inhabitants. The strange things about this statue aside from it being the only one that's still intact is the stone it seems to be made of which is found nowhere else on Jokhuda, the other thing of note is the pose and life like appearance of an individual who seems to be shielding an egg from something or some one.
This leads the Lipane to believe that whoever this being was was turned to stone by some spell or some other magic related event, perhaps some divine punishment by the goddesses or some forgotten deity perhaps. The Lipane have made plans to preserve the statue in their city if the Jokhudai would allow them to move it, but they seem opposed to disturbing the ancient site since they sense some bad primal magic in that valley which is the reason they have avoided the place for as long as they've settled on the island. While some are studying the statue other Lipane are discussing wether or not to try undo the magic and return this being to life to learn more about it's race, though some also oppose this on the grounds of it being immoral or not considering it's last moments didn't seem pleasant to say the least. A dragon historian was also asked to have a look at the statue but even she has no idea as to what race this is since even the dragons have a gap in their history, but it is assumed that this was some kind of early wingless dragon.
It would be some time before some of the mysteries were revealed when Aakaama and Hessh'Nha visited Jokhuda to find out more about what happened to the Nagassa after their disappearance from Nagadrassiil and how the war with the ancient dragons ended. All that Aakaama could recall was that the stone form was that of a Mountaindrake who existed in that point of time and Jokhuda must have been a distant colony or independent realm considering drakes were flightless and as far as Aakaama knows did not build ships to cross the seas. Drakes were also mostly a pacifist people who did not take part in the war with the dragons but some were eventually swept up in it which led to drakes becoming extinct and forgotten by time just as the Nagassa were lost to memory and time. Aakaama could also confirm there was some ancient magic that still loomed over the ruins, and it was of dragon origin mainly but there was also some Nagassa magic energy to be detected, so perhaps this was once a battleground where the Nagassa and dragons clashed but it still remains puzzling why this drake was turned to stone by a dragon. An act of betrayal perhaps or a punishment for not taking sides? Only this drake might be able to tell if they could be released from the curse which would be difficult to do properly since ancient magic was involved.
