I really love the story of the Golem because it's simultaneously mystical and yet rooted in a specific time period, which makes it somewhat real. I like the idea that the Golem is simply a tool, a clay figure that follows orders without the slightest hint of self-awareness, and what it does or can do is entirely dependent on people. It's both frightening and mesmerizing. Between truth and death , there's only one letter of difference — אמת and מת.
