I recently read some works by Ise-no-Kami and was really enraptured by his story Bulking Bird, so much so that I just had to draw some fanart of Ginger on the verge of immobility. Definitely take some time to check out their work!! If you're into weight gain stories at all, they've got some excellent tales~!

This was my favorite section of the story, as a hefty 'mon with a quaking gut is just... great imo~

I also really wanted to experiment with brushes and try to actually render out some stuff. I'll admit, I still don't have a firm grasp on painting backgrounds, and I kind of rushed it a bit anyway since I wanted to get this out before finals, but I'm really proud of how I painted the bulbous bird herself!
I was able to teach myself some useful techniques and play around with different brushes and blending modes, and I definitely hope to do more of these kinds of drawings in the future. Not too many, though. This took an awfully long time, and even though I've figured some stuff out, it's probably going to be a "once in a blue moon" kind of thing for a while.
