I use a particular brand of pencil called Col-Erase. The lead is a bit waxy like most color pencils, but it is also erasable .. to a point, anyway. If you're using a dark color or if you really grind into the paper, the paper will be sufficiently stained with an indelible mark; but if you're doing light sketches and guidelines you can mostly erase them, or if you need to fix a mistake or touch up a line, you can usually erase as necessary.
Only down side is that (as far as I know) Col-Erase isn't sold as mechanical leads; you have to buy the actual wooden pencils and keep a pencil sharpener handy.
(BTW, I mostly use Col-Erase "Blue," sometimes using "Light Blue" for rough guidelines or if I need a different shade of blue. I also keep some "Scarlet Red" or "Carmine Red" on hand for marking up or making corrections on rough drawings, or for an accent of color like Skroy's hair above. Stay away from any "Non-Photo Blue" pencil, though; they're far too light to draw with and have an odd green-cyan tint.)

No worries, hope it helps!
Sometimes they're hard to track down in stores (tho if you have a decent art store nearby you might find them) ... But you can find them online from a few places. Pretty cheap if you buy them by the dozen:
