Autobots appearing in both versions of the story are Jetfire, Vector Prime, Optimus Prime, Red Alert, Hot Shot, Scavenger, and Blurr.

Decepticons appearing in both versions of the story are Straxus, Megatron, Starscream, and Demolishor.

Mini-Cons appearing in both versions of the story are Sparkplug, Mirage and Dirt Boss of the Race Team, and Jolt.

Humans appearing in both versions of the story are Alexis Romanov and her parents Helen and Nikolai, Diana Masters, Bryson, Col. Michael Franklin, Lt. Gen. Clayton Abernathy, Agent Lynn Graves, Carlos Lopez, and Kelly Baungartner. Appearing in the re-edit only is Carlos' father, Manuel, and Tom Banachek.

Not a lot of differences between this version and the original, aside from a few additional characters and greater detail and research. Still, I'm pleased with it. Here's hoping it isn't too long until the next installment!
