I know I don't submit to often, but I'd like to show you an artist trading card I did for a Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Convention. Most everyone else gave out small doodles or business cards(They're illustrators. you'd be worried if their business card was artless), but a few of us took it too far and made cards especially for the event! Yay for staying up till 4 then going to an 8 AM talk. :D
Anyway, that's a Hyaena brunnea, a Brown Hyena. sauce: http://www.arkive.org/brown-hyaena/.....ge-G30119.html They're very, naturally rare, from and only from the Kalahari Desert, and they hold the unique distinction of being the only hyena in Africa with a gape sufficient to pick up and abscond with an ostrich egg, which they do, with extreme regularity.
