TULIP DUCKLING OC:

Original Post - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55966971/
Yosh O'Ducky, the dino-duck hybrid, and Tulip Duckling, the newest kid on the block, became fast friends. It was no surprise when, after many shared adventures in front of the O'Ducky family pond, Tulip's parents decided it was time for Yosh to show the green-and-white colored dino-duck what their darling daughter did for fun when not feeding the family of feral ducks over at his house.
***
"...It's really our pleasure," Tulip's mother stated while taking hold of Yosh's diaper bag from the dino-duckling's mother. "We've been meaning to have Yosh come over ever since those two became near inseparable at that delightful pond of yours."
"If you don't mind me asking," Tulip's father interrupted. "May I ask who put that pond in for you guys? The Mrs. and I tried to find a house with a pond, but there weren't any in our price range that were anywhere near our jobs and Tulip's preschool."
Mrs. O'Ducky took a moment to see how Yosh and Tulip were doing outside before giving her response.
"It was actually Duckers' friend, Mr. Gonzales, who made our pond possible," she replied.
"That wouldn't happen to be the same Mr. Gonzales who has a son by the name of Nishi?" Tulip's mother inquired.
Yosh's mother sighed while giving an exaggerated shrug of acknowledgment.
"I see it didn't take long for Nishi to introduce himself to Tulip?" she asked nervously.
Tulip's father blushed while bashfully folding his hands behind his back.
"Actually...," he replied as he considered how to best respond. "He seems to know when I'm outside doing yardwork. It's like he is undressing me with his eyes."
NUDGE-NUDGE
"The boy's six years old," Tulip's mother stated after abruptly pressing her elbow against her husband's side. "You're just not used to living anywhere that isn't miles away from anyone, or anything, else."
"He called me a DILF, love-love," he retorted. "I looked that word up on the computer and-"
"-that's enough of accusing a little boy of being a peeping tom," interrupted Tulip's mother.
As Tulip's parents worked to make the situation less awkward, Mrs. O'Ducky took another peak outside to see how the kids were doing. It was at this time she noticed that the orange-colored Yoshi, Nishi, had joined up with Yosh and Tulip. He was also in the process of pulling Yosh's shorts down to his ankles.
"Well...," she panicked while turning and reaching for the door. "I want to say goodbye to Yosh and Tulip before Duckers and I head out for our first date in forever."
"Oh...," gasped Tulip's mother. "Have fun!"

"We will!" she replied...

...before she put a little more effort than she really should have into shutting the door as she left Tulip's home to save Yosh and Tulip from the silly shenanigans of Nishi Gonzales.

Tulip's mommy and daddy divided the caretaking responsibilities shortly after Mrs. O'Ducky made her way out from their house. Neither of them aware of the green-colored, Yoshi mother's effort to put an end to Nishi's mischief by sneaking up behind him, wrapping her arms around his torso, and casually carrying him back to his own front yard.
"Bye-bye, Nishi!" Yosh called out while wiggling and wobbling awkwardly with one hand holding on to the shorts he was pulling back up as he waved with the other.
GRAB
SHUFFLE-SHUFFLE
"Why you no wear dresses?" asked Tulip as she assisted the dino-duck in getting his shorts back over his duck-printed, disposable diaper. "Nini could check your dipperlike my mommy and daddy check mine for oopsie-doodles.”
Yosh felt his cheeks go warm as a blush appeared on his feathered face. This is because the yellow-feathered duckling got him to imagine what it would be like if he were wearing Tulip’s dress instead of his shorts. His younger sister, Winry, looked oh-so cute and comfortable in the dresses, skirts, and skirtalls his mother and father would dress her in. Did his parents really love his little sister more than they loved him? If they loved both of them equally, why did she get to wear all the clothes he did along with clothes he was never allowed to wear?
“Tulip!” the mother duck called out. “It looks like it is going to rain. It’s time for you and your friend to come inside and play.”

Yosh’s eyes widened as he was brought out of his thoughts by Tulip’s brown-colored wingtips taking hold of his arm.
“Whoa!” he yelped upon nearly being dragged towards the house by his yellow ducky friend.
“Coming, Mama!” replied Tulip as she and a stumbling Yosh hurried towards the front door that was being held open by Tulip’s mother.
***
The wind was just starting to rustle the trees in front of Tulip’s house when the two preschoolers made their way into the house.
“Whoa!” Tulip’s father exaggerated as he pulled down her uplifted dress back over the seat of her diaper. “Mr. Gusty seems to have wanted to check your dipper for rain showers.”
Tulip giggled as her father performed a genuine diaper check while he went about tugging at the frills of her favorite, red-colored dress.

Yosh smiled as he was returned to the ground alongside his duckling friend.
“That was fun!” he cheered while giddily flailing his arms and wiggling his legs. “Again?”
“Me want uppies, too!” added Tulip before she raised her hands into the air and started to hop closer to her mother.
“How about some fruit punch?” stated Tulip’s father in an effort to distract the playful preschoolers from his wife.
“YEAH!” Yosh and Tulip replied in unison while turning their attention to the papa duck.
“Alright!” he answered with a smile. “Two sippy-licious, fruit punches coming right up!”
***
Upon finishing their sippy cups, Yosh and Tulip were lead up to the young duckling’s room. Both parents knew their daughter was nearing her naptime and how Yosh would, very likely, be ready for a nap when Tulip felt ready to rest.
“So what you wanna play?” asked Tulip as she scampered towards her toy box. “I got lots of fun toys and dresses for dress-up games.”
Yosh found himself blushing upon hearing the mention of playing dress-up. He had played the game with his pal, Nishi, but the orange Yoshi often made it into more of a game of taking clothes off over putting clothes on.

The green-and-white colored, dino-duck began to take off his shorts in preparation to get all dolled up by Tulip…

“Ooh!” awed Tulip as her attention was completely taken away from her toybox by the sound of rain pitter-pattering upon her bedroom window.
“Look!” she awed. “It raining!”
Yosh let out a sigh before shuffling himself towards the plush ottoman beneath Tulip’s bedroom window.
“Can we play outside?” he asked while watching the rain splatter and slide down the window.
“No,” Tulip replied while pulling herself onto the windowsill. Her beak now pressing gently against the glass as she supported herself with her knees firmly pressed into the soft cushion of the ottoman.
The blue-eyed, dino-duckling felt his blush return upon seeing how Tulip’s padded posterior was now on full display.
“…,” he struggled to say while trying to come up with something to say that didn’t have to do with his desire to wear a dress, or play outside. He also couldn’t help but wonder if he had just as cutie of a patootie when he leaned himself up against the back of his parents couch back home.
“Watch rain with me?” Tulip asked as she caused a cacophony of crinkles to rustle out of her cushioned bottom. She wanted to get the best view of the rain on the window along with how it looked as it pooled around her yard, the street, and other things within her view from her room on the second floor of her family’s house.

Tulip had no problem in scooting her bootie in a way that allowed her and Yosh to share the view outside of the rain-covered window.
“Maybe we play after rain stops in the puddles?” suggested the yellow-feathered duckling.
“…,” Yosh had now become quite mesmerized on how the rain pitter-patted on the window, on the outside of Tulip’s house, on the roof of the house, and down the house’s waterspout.

Really nice story Yosh. I also got a bit crazy until I realized I was reading a part of the story for the second time hehe. But apart of that I really liked it so much. Again I'm a bit confusing of the characters. The lore of your stories seems to be really big and I still have troubles to follow them, sorry...
Anyways, I like so much those visits of kids to their friends houses, they can really bring amazing scenarios. Your story reminds me a lot basically any episode of Franklin, in whcih a situation like this, with bigger creatures of course, could occur in any moment if you ask me. Indeed, we have an episode of a sleepover in Franklin's house which I love so much and reminds me in some parts this story. I like also the innocence of just enjoying watching the rain through the window. I also loved the part when Tulip asked why Yosh didn't wear dresses, hehe pure kid innocence.
Oh, and the art is really amazing too. Let me tell you that the artist did a perfect job with Yosh's posture, you can see him clearly relaxed laying down over his back. I saw that art a while ago you posted the story by the way.

Hmm. I have been told that the story has a repeating part, but I cannot seem to find it when I use my screen-reading software. It looks like I will just have to copy and paste the original and hope that I can correct this troublesome repeat of that particular part of the story.

This story was interesting to write as it made me realize how much I do not know about Tulip and her parents. I am hoping that Daniel will give me some notes to work with, or be kind enough to allow me to expand on Tulip's family on my own, so the next story can show more about her and how she has interesting things to share with Yosh the preschooler.
***
Other notes about this story include how I used it to further show just how influential Nishi Gonzales, the orange Yoshi who is a year older than Yosh, is on the dino-duckling's life. Few characters, so far, have as much influence as Nishi does during all stages of Yosh's life.
Given Tulip is new to my regular story universe for Yosh, as the MLP: FiM version of Yosh is an alternate universe (AU), I wanted to try and show more about her and how she would influence the dino-duckling towards his 'Feminine Side'. (Yosh has always been meant to help me learn a bit more about my true self through using his character to experiment with possible interactions / influences over the course of his life. When I was 18, I was told that I may have done better in life if I was born a female instead of a male. This made me want to explore why, without really trying to be, I acquired so many female-releated interests and talents. I have made many discoveries over the years and, with Tulip, I am only confirming how the arrival of my sister in real life (IRL), which was 3 years and four days after I was born, began my journey down a path to get attention that my young self must have felt was lacking after her birth.).
***
Beyond what I mentioned above, this story is just meant to be one of those [SLICE OF LIFE] tales to share a fun moment in time between Yosh and the world around him. :)

Slice of life stories are my favorites, you can read them laying down in your warm bed while you imagine they are happening just next to you and experience a bit of all the involved sensations and situations. As I have mentioned before, my favorite stories are those happening with a small group of characters on a quiet environment with mainly slice of life situations, and let me tell you're a master on them Yosh nwn
I'm so happy too that your stories can help yourself to explore more inside you, that's really nice and helpful. I have done pretty much the same with my artworks and the few stories I've written. If you think it, Goldigony is a female dragon after all hehe.

Thank you, my friend. I, too, love the gentle sounds of the rain. It brings me back to when I used to live, quite literally, in the middle of a forest. *Sighs* Oh, how I do miss those days. One day, I would really like to be able to live in a more forested region. Such places aren't all that friendly to blind people, but I'd manage. :)
