Just a bunch of WIP stuff that's been sitting around for the last half year. It's kind of sad that I haven't finished an actual personal piece in, psh, two years now?
Anyway, descriptions, roight.
Starting off, the letter 'C' for the Alphabeastiary Challenge, followed by a thumb of something I did while terribly depressed back in November. Below it is something epic for *Gunnerromantic, for no real reason except that every so often I'm compelled to throw art at her for being awesome. So, Rmas defends his lady from dark spikey evil-doer with what will be giant axes as they barrel down an icy mountain on demon horses.
Below that is the start of something for the collab project between Brynn and Tiffany and I, and next to that is a version of Merlin I was toying with. Then you have a Splayhorse and an arboreal alien from my headworld.
Underneath that is a place from the Lock world, and underneath that are some Locks. Some guy, Aryian, and Movallo (I threw him in there because he looks like a banana and it cracks me up). The front/back is from a ref sheet - it only took me 8 years to get around to it and over a year to actually put enough marks on the page to get it semi-finished, but I do have most of a Lock reference sheet done. Now I'm not certain that I'll actually upload it, I don't much feel like dealing with all the crap that went down however many years ago, again.
Lastly, some Hoppy. The small animal scene is from a children's book project I'm involved in which... I need to get on. And then an in-progress Cerberus.
Anyway, I figured by the time I actually finish anything non-work and non-commission-related, you'll have forgotten all about this post, so I feel alright uploading.

It's amazing to see how you paint digitally. All of those are quite stunning, but that's no news. :) All your art is stunning. I'm still happy I snatched that commission spot some time ago.
The children's book illustration looks quite out of place in that batch XD but I like it a lot! Which is odd because I am not so much for the cute stuff. But the atmosphere of this really caught me.

Ok, I know I am very late in commenting on this peice of art, and in fact, I might be ignored because I have no avatar. But I'll say this anyways.
The art done for your Locks is impressive, incredibly so. The quality is well above 90% of what I have seen in the past. In fact there is only one book I know of near the same quality, is Barlowe's guide to extraterrestrials.
That's about the best compliment that I can give to anyone, next to being so realistic that I expect it to walk of the screen.
