In cases like that you can see very easily why the Rupian army is not very big (just 2 millons in peace time) but made 100% by very skilled professionals. And if wasn´t enough with the Rupian very advanced technology, simply could join their eternal rivals, the Imperials, as Sudabe. They have 3000 years of warrior tradition, as the same Marcos admits. Maybe uses basic stuff but are lethal to the bones

I would not be surpised if someone like a karal marx and others like him can undermine it enough to the point where said issues will arise etc. on top of whole idelogical groups that would be so incompadable that bloodshead is a matter of when not if. when it is not ISIS then say the communist threat that came from karal marx etc resulting in socialism causing over 100 million deaths and then some. with the situation of the CCP protentualy alone causing ww3 etc.

well, Marcos notized very easily that the Rupian Federation is FAR too bigger than can remain united. i mean, is almost 25% of the planet, if was rl would be basically all the USSR (not Rusia, the USSR!), Canada , USA and Mexico, plus Philipphines and other islands around the world. Too many people, too many ideologies, too many religions under the same goverment. Is a matter of time for see it split in pieces. the only question is if will be ina peacecefull way as checoslovaquia or...as basically everybody else, Yugoslavia style

its going to be in a yugoslavia style hoe down. things will get messy real quick. unless you have someone like a donald john trump who can by the weight of the populist movement alone (conservative populist movement to be precise) to make much needed reforms to save the federation or if anything make it as efficient as possible with what size it's at now. at some point some form of territoral break up will be needed to save the rest. like a confederation of sorts could work. but again idk the politics of the lot there so it's all guess'es.

and will marcos be the one who can save the federation from it'self by some form? or what other method if anything can keep it together or find a way to at least cut down on costs by making acceptable loses of territory?

and if the lot where they live at can go in to space then maybe the federation can solve that probelm by space exploration etc. so much to do there.

lore please on there home and then some. :) maybe if you really wanted to make a story line of it have them "find earth" and have that be the federations second plan to keep things together by having some of the population there (with formal deals and treaties in place of course with the nations themselves once they get past the UN approval of even doing it out right. etc. especally where i live at the senate here approves treaties and we are not bound by international laws etc. ) have some of there population settle down on earth and do economic things and if need be a place for mercenaries etc for wars to come.

hell marcos can be useful there (and in a creation meets the creator) his lot gets your country as said place to house in and deal with south america stuff and work with the US army etc. even use the political situation there to keep his military skills in order by partaking in local conflicts etc.

or maybe have the lot tag up together to deal with something greater of a threat and problem that will as a price to pay force the rupian federation to face the prospect of going either checoslovaia or face a yugoslavia hell hole. (my money is going to be both at "best" happening at the same time to worse case yugoslavia and the shitshow behind the shed there and at the same if not worse shitshow behind the shed that is africa and the middle east.)

but again we need lore and we need to see in your works the rupian federation and the workings of it. even the leadership, political structure and then some. ^^;

I imagine that the federation will split in around 20/30 smaller countries but mantained the core of the country united. still would be a monster and very powerfull economically, lot easier to deffend and control, and with several deals with the former parts of the original big country to commerce with bennefics. still im sure that will be AT LEAST two yugoslavias when that happends. Marcos will be quite busy because his job, not a regular soldier...

i see. but his commando skill can only go so far before he has to go full out front lines in the trenches and use the bayonet etc. if he can hold under direct combat stress like that he will be fine. otherwise he might as well be squishy like a sandwich thrown at him he will crumble. :P

yeah broken up in to stuff like that while holding there core unity will be a best way to go both militarlly and economiclly but there has to be an odd number of lot there to break a say 10/10 or a 15/15 split vote. or some other stuff.

otherwise yes there will be plenty of yugoslavias and other ethinc conflict issues (especally the african style ones etc.) to go around that will give marcos and others plenty of work and will earn him his paycheck. *nods.*

though he could become a senor officer and lead a full birgade of your countrymen in to the fight with his unit (aka full regiment he is part of along with said brigade and division level organization etc.) and possibly become the "rambo birgade" of the ammount of combat honors and feats of heroic daring that can equal say of the other heroic feats done in history like the battle of pashendale with the canadians etc and my countries own military feats of arms to boot. :P

Marcos actually could even prevent some conflicts just being there. Even for the people that didn´t knew it before becomes very evident that he is stupiditly honest XD that is very very VERY rare to see in a Rupian officer. What Marcos really would like is be sure that everybody will have the same rights to recive food, medicines and supplies during the retreat of the Rupian Army, he is inmune to be bribed and that things. so could be designed in the areas thathe would be sent to take charge of the retreat to make it ordered and peacefull with the civilians

of course, that would be in a small area eahc time, but is a good start. other simple would impose an iron hand style control to mantain everybody calm by fear, and that would work for some time only

maybe good sir maybe. but still there will be times when he has no choice but to do the bribes etc especally when he gets hit for spy missions etc. :P or he will become a threat to his higher ups who would be the more corrupt and will try and kill him by sending him on suicide missions to keep the corruption covered up.

though if retreat is not an option and a last stand situation is to be ordered what will marcos do in that case? so much stuff to throw around for what if's. :P :)

though how small of an area would marcos have jurisction over? he will have to take command of larger areas to trully test his leadership etc.
