I don't have an idea for a new posthuman for Day 30, so instead let's return to the Multure.
As mentioned in Day 11, Multures are highly resistant to diseases spread by corpses and rotting organic matter. The main reason for this is their highly sophisticated microbiome. Of all the posthumans on Anthropoterra, none have a microbiome as complex as the Multure, having well over 25 times the biodiversity in thier guts than the guts of their human ancestors. While a normal human would only have 150-400 species of gut bateria for example, the Multure can house anywhere between 3,750 to 10,000 different bacterial species, way too many to dedicate to its own bio, and Spode knows how much more in non-bacterial microbes. In fact, almost a fifth of the creature's mass is microorganisms imprisoned in a moving sack of flesh and bone.
What this means is that whatever a corpse or rotting fruit is at, you can be sure a Multure is eyeing it hungrily somewhere, and it also means the species in general is not much more than a glorified sentient trash can, eating anything it can fit in its maw to prevent the diseased flesh of the dead from polluting the planet's biosphere.
