I’m absolutely thrilled to finally have this scene animated and able to be shown off! I’ve been working on this scene off and on for nearly a year now and you’ll be able to learn more about why this took me so long if you check my scraps page for a behind the scenes look.
The background here was entirely hand painted with six different paintings making up the layers of dunes in this scene.

Ardent was drawn traditionally and coloured digitally.

The shine of light is tough to read thanks to this crappy gif compression but it’s actually several hand painted shapes that were composited digitally together to give this light some “texture”.
