Zootopia Duke Weaselton's really big time page 34
Duke Weaselton was frustrated and tired of being small and weak compared to other mammals in Zootopia. One day when he was helping Enzo with his missing glove, he gets his hands on the squirrel's special cookies which would grant anyone some enhancements. Little do the weasel knows that, instead of giving him what he wanted, it only gives him nothing but literal big troubleā¦.

Meaning he is abusing his power just as much as Duke was, just in a different way. We're meant to see him as benevolent, and he does seem like a nice guy, but erasing everyone's memories so casually is not really something someone should have. But my main issue is he apparently does it to escape punishment. I'm not sure I follow his logic. He says he erased everyone's memory because he feels responsible. Well... if you feel responsible, take responsibility, done use your magic forget-machine.
And this isn't? Enzo is partially responsible for Duke's rampage and his "solution" conveniently lets him escape any consequences. I think he's abusing his power just as much as Duke did, just in a different way. I don't think this was intentional, but it can be read that way and it kind of angers me that he isn't really facing any consequences for what he admits is at least partially his fault.
And why not erase everyone else's memories? Including Duke's? If he did that, then nobody would remember Duke had done anything wrong, and Duke wouldn't have to be punished. Why is he so dang selective about whose memories he erases, and why does the fact he has this power and can apparently use it whenever he wants make Nick and Judy trust him rather than being wary of him? Hasn't he proven he's irresponsible?

This comic does seem needlessly mean-spirited at times. And as I've said in other comments, I think Enzo's approach to taking responsibility is actually allowing him to avoid it; since everyone but a few people forgot the entire thing, this means his role in starting the rampage because he was careless is as conveniently forgotten just as much as Duke's rampage itself is.
Not really. I just thought it was something worth discussing as opposed to just saying I liked it.
And anyway, what is it to you if I take it seriously? Some people take stories seriously.
Anyway, I guess, regardless of the story's tone, if someone gets what I feel like is a raw deal, I'm gonna say so. .... But I really did like the comic otherwise. It's just the ending which threw me.

Memory erasure...? Kind of a copout, isn't it? And his stated reason for doing is itself a copout: he says he did it because he feels responsible for letting Duke eat the cookies. But isn't erasing everyone's memory of it, including the fact it was his fault, him escaping responsibility...? I know it isn't what you intended, but this plot development, and Enzo's stated reason for doing it, can be interpreted very uncharitably.
