I have the same problem: Simplifying artwork.
I have to applaud you here. Simply done, but very effective and the character definitely shines through. I even love the stylized clouds you did behind Dash.
I've been wanting to draw a couple of my characters in this style for a while now, but can't get past the perfectionist obsessive detailing that I keep putting on everything. One day though!
