As someone with dyscalculia, it's very likely, given what we've seen. Give me a typical formula, and my brain shuts down. Give me a real-world example or a word problem, and I can usually solve it pretty easily. The real problem is that numbers and formulae can be excessively confusing, or even actively jumble up in one's head, much how dyslexia works with letters and words.
