Survive the month alright? It was pretty wild for me in all sorts of ways!
One of the most exciting parts of the month was holding an adoptable auction that went on to be a great source of encouragement to do more. It was so successful, that I redesigned my work schedule to make adoptables a regular part of it.
Look forward to seeing more designs which someone could take home for themselves!
I have been spending a few hours each week learning 3D modeling, and the more I do it, the more I feel that this sort of thing stands a good shot at what I want to do with my life.
It’s not just the 3D modeling itself that is the appeal. It is also the potential to animate via a game development platform. This plays in to what was the most defining feature of my Minecraft modification: Animation. I loved doing all the math design to make those animations possible and I would love to model girls that could be utilized in a video game (such as Pawperty Damage) or something like Virtual Reality.
However, I am a long ways off from realizing any of this. So if you are excited or concerned about the potential, don’t worry about it happening any time soon!
But just put that in your head… your favorite member of my cast as an animated, intractable character. >3> Whether that be macro, boobs, butt, paws, or platforms. =w=
There was some nice progress with the building. I got the new windows installed after three months so that is finally done. The next thing is to get supports built and installed to help make sure the broken windows are less likely to happen again
Also I’ve had problems with the next door business removing snow and plowing it onto my property. Thankfully me talking to them seems to have gotten them to stop. I had several people telling me I really needed to be threatening to them to get them to stop, but I just talked to them nice and all and it seemed to work!
I spent a little bit each week taking a Java development class and at the end of the month I completed the course and feel ready/inspired to try tackling my Minecraft mod after getting badly stuck. I still expect development to be slow, so don’t expect much progress any time soon.
Probably nothing defines my month more than the severe burnout I had midway through the month.
The month started pretty well as I was ahead of schedule and really pumping things out. Then we had a major snowstorm where I roughly lost a full day to my regular work to working for the bookstore and clearing record snowfall from my property, making me lose all of that getting ahead progress. I had really high hopes of using that getting ahead time to have a partial day off.
As time went on I was struggling to have much interest in what I was doing. Then a Friday came around and I crashed. I ended up spending a lot of time doing personal things for myself. At the end of the day I played it off as my Bipolar acting up and that it was just for that particular day.
But over the next week I struggled with interest in work until Friday came around again and I crashed again, even worse than the previous. I told myself to take time off and do other things, but I found nearly no happiness in any recreational pursuits whether gaming or drawing for myself.
The aftermath of that was a lot of depression and disinterest in life that went on for about a week until I felt normal again.
I’m going into April seeing if I can change things up. When I wake up in the morning, I have little desire to get up and tend to just lie there. I’m gonna see if I can plan something each core day to get me started in the morning and inspire me the rest of the day. Wish me luck. @.@’
