More old art I found and felt like posting.

This is Laura, the eldest daughter of another character of mine named Kerri. Laura wasn't born a normal child, she was born first as a type of monster known as a dark slime. When Kerri had absorbed enough nutrients, she split and Laura was formed, taking her mother's middle name as her own.

Something to note is that if a slime loses her slime core, they lose their slime body and become human. Laura had hers forcibly torn out of her, leaving her in a weakened human body left in the woods when she went out for a walk and was ambushed. She was rescued by her uncle and brought back home safe and sound.

Laura has a very stoic personality, showing infinite patience and intelligence and has a penchant for studying. She has a soft spot for cute things though, and she has a bizarre sense of humor that can be seen as jarring since she hardly ever breaks her stoic expression. Despite this, because of her studious attitude, she's usually the first person people come to when they need advice.

Her eyes, like all slimes turned human, are a bright color from her days as a slime, in her case a bright purple. While most former slimes look back on their monster days with embarrassment, given that slimes are usually mindless sex monsters, Laura sees it as a source of pride, believing her past gives her a better insight in the monster world.
