Speculative Skull Island Bullshit: Giant centipede
For being part of one of the strangest ecosystems, the giant centipede is surprisingly unremarkable. It is basically a regular skolopendromorph grown to proportions more reminiscient of the arthropods of the Carboniferous. The enormous size did little to influence its lifestyle: it is a mostly nocturnal predator of the forests, using a venomous bite to kill its prey, which consists both of other giant arthropods as well as vertebrates. Females will care for their eggs and will continue care until their young's third molt. When threatened, the giant centipede will rear up and display its yellow terminal legs; together with the right head, they are the main colour accents on its black and dull red body.
