I hope y'all remember the last sketch I made a few weeks ago (March 13 apparently).

Still kinda in a funk but doing better than yesterday. I centered her, resized the sketch a little, and tried playing around with the tail a bit. I might wanna redo it a little bit. I spent about 90% of my time doodling the shiny pikachu on the side. IDK why it is, but the simpler pokemon are always the hardest to draw for me. I kinda feel like Charizard would've been easier, but I'm saving the charizard for a cosplay sketch of a different champion ;3

I don't plan to fully render this one, but I would like to do a series of "colored sketches" with cleaner, sketchy lines and either flats or 2-tone cell shading. I felt it was appropriate to pick Red, the first player character from the first generation to be my starting point. I don't wanna get deep into the weeds on fixing her tail/proportions since I do still want ti to feel sketchy, but I might give it one more small pass when I add the final sketch line and get rid of the chicken scratch

Still 50-50 on whether I'm going to work on that tomorrow or if I'm gonna actually try and do melpaca's background. Depends on how burnt-out I'm feeling. I do know that Friday and Monday may not get any art (still TBD). All the medical stuff I was venting about in yesterday's journal has appointments related to it. Might be so draining that I just don't wanna deal with anything other than going to bed afterward. We'll see
