Seems like forever since I've done anything on this site.. Too long :< Might as well upload this. I'm so amateur at this fingerstyle stuff. Played on an electric guitar, when it would sound a thousand times better on nylon strings.. Ah well.
I find I have more trouble with timing on slower, easier songs like this than I do on sweeping, tapping, and legato runs.. Someday I will learn how to play guitar.
Song is copyright Elfen Lied.

This is freaking awesome! You are a great guitarist :D
I would have to agree with you, the timing on slower songs are harder for me as well...
And your other stuff is really nice as well. I never learned to play metal at all, though someday I'd like to delve into it a little more...

Thank you for the compliment! I have some intermediate proficiency at certain techniques, but I'm still fairly mediocre in the grand scheme of things. I try to just enjoy the feeling of the strings under my fingers, and have faith that someday I'll actually be skilled at playing =p
Studying various genres and styles of metal guitar has brought a lot of depth and enrichment to my understanding of music. I try to explore as much as possible, and branch out into all of the wonderful diversity that music has to offer, but the complexity and intricacy of metal always draws me back. :3

Playing guitar is a never ending experience, even the pros keep learning :3
But I'd agree, metal is a very intricate genre. I've tried in the past to learn different metal scales and such, but then I always end up getting sidetracked with other types of music. I play mainly indie-ish music, or at least thats how the songs I write end up sounding like hehe. But my teacher was a blues player, and he hated metal... So that's probably why I've never really learned more about it.
But anyways, keep playing man! :D

I over reverb everything! This could use a lot of production work, obviously.. But I'm extremely critical about my playing, and it just sounds too amateur-ish to warrant spending extra time on it =/ It's grating for me to listen to my own playing. As long as it sounds better than what I could do a week ago though, I'm content =p
