Hot take here, but I think the N64 is quite... overrated?
Super Mario 64 is, at least. Mario Kart 64 is an OK game, but they've taken almost all tracks from that game as Retros, and now only Wario Stadium is left to use in a new entry. Another hot take coming up, but I think Super Circuit on the Game Boy Advance is a way more fleshed-out game.

See I have the opposite opinion on N64 games lol. I love Super Mario 64, but I think Kart 64 is overrated. Why play Mario kart 64 when the superior CTR on the PS1 exists? Even Diddy Kong racing was a lot more fun. The only thing that makes that installment interesting is the speed running community.
I agree on super circuit being fleshed out, but I don't care for it either. One of those titles that I picked up and got bored with easily. The gameboy advance had a lot of bangers, but that one wasn't it for me.

I honestly think MK64 is the most overrated MK game, but I respect your love for the game. It's a good game.
Did you know that in the Japanese version of the game, some character voices are different, such as Luigi, Peach, Kinopio (Toad) and Wario? These exact JP voice clips were re-used for Mario Kart Advance in 2001.
