He made a mistake, yes, but he was only mortal, and all mortals make mistakes. I know pop culture likes to paint a picture that someone who cheats is a worthless sack of crap that can never change their ways, but I suspect reality is much more complex. Toby really was a good man, and he was trying to find ways to redeem himself. In the end, it's a shame to see him go.
