Does the prosthetic get in the way?
A lot of magic and tech worlds have them not getting along. Also does the missing arm effect power? Like Anakin Skywalker had Midichlorians off the scale in his blood, but when half his body got chopped off [spoiler] shouldn't he have lost half his power?

My thought about that is she is using her prosthetic arm sorta like a catalyst. Kind of like how in some games (or even books/movies like Harry Potter) have it to where the individual is magical but can’t release the magic without some sort of tool (tool being like a wand or a staff). I figure that she uses her prosthetic as sort of a wand in a way.

There was a series, I think it was Young Wizards and each person's magic was specific to them. One boy's was mechanical and he used an old radio antenna as his wand.
I also often thought about, in the Potter series, what if you replaced finger bones with parts of a wand. Say the wand shattered and the finger was lost and you just fixed both problems. You could spell cast just by pointing your index finger and chanting. No one would know, especially if you had a dummy wand in your hand as a distraction.

That is a pretty neat concept. Now that you mention that, it makes me think of games I’ve played where you can unleash magic through your weapon. I think it might have been dark souls, but there was like a dagger that you could use to cast magic. I always thought it was a awesome idea, stab them when they get close and blast them from afar!
