A silly design with a tragic background. CW: Mentions of pet death below.



This was made for folks who had donated to Copper’s treatments. He had been suffering occasional seizures and had been in and out of different vets. We thought he was on the mend! But a month after this was completed, Copper suffered an astronomical 87 minute seizure. Even if he had survived, he would have never been the same. He was so frustrated by his body that wouldn’t move the way he wanted it to. A day later, his little heart gave out, it was just too much. Just a minute before, he had been sassing me, as I was carrying him in a swaddle and how DARE I hold him like that. I feel like that was the last straw: he wouldn’t spend his life being swaddled, and so gracefully made his exit. He was too proud to be coddled.
