Very nice work. I love how you capture the tenuous nature of Rico's agency and how his thoughts mingle with Ricas. Palpable tension in this tale, and a very cool dance of rationalization and will.
I love how Rico isn't really Rica's "Good" side, just a more pragmatic side that considers ramifications. Good juxtaposition to the Shadow Witch who shredded the Bianchis and didn't think of the resulting power vacuum.
