I am curious though. What's with the design of the pallete flesh and the back of the tongue? Is it actual Rito biology, the biology of a real bird, or just artistic interpritatio?

Unsurprisingly I wasn't able to find the inside of a Rito beak for reference, so I ended up basing it mostly on real bird beaks! Which randomly ended up being kinda like a corvid's beak anatomy
