Biography: Nadia is one of the many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born one day after Susumo was born, making her part of the 5th line of 1/2 mermaids born into the family. Like so many of her siblings, Nadia was ever present whenever her father came back with stories to tell of his travels in different realms, and he often had plenty to tell. Nadia at one point, after listening to so many of her father's tales, decided that she wanted to be an adventurer like he is & fight off evil. She was one of the few who made her mind up instantly, and upon learning that she had a penchant for magic, decided to take up lessons in learning how to utilize it. While training in the magic arts, Nadia found she has an affinity for nature magic, and spent time wielding that above all others. However, Nadia one day discovered that arcane power didn't respond to her as well as the elements did. No matter how hard she tried, she was just unable to conjure any arcane magic, whereas her older sister Caspian mastered it easily. Although discouraged, Nadia was given words of encouragement by her mother Palutena, who told her that she'll be able to use arcane magic some day, and that she just needed to have faith that time will come. Spurred on by this, Nadia kept training until she mastered her elemental magics, hoping to one day resume training to master arcane magic as well. Eventually, it came time for Nadia to take part in the Fire Emblem universe on the continent of Gaia, so she traveled there with her other Fire Emblem themed sisters (Except Eurydice who stayed home at first to help watch the house), but upon arrival to Gaia, she gave her older sister Zosime a good scolding for dragging Philomela along who felt that she wasn't ready to take part in any fighting. Try as she might though, Nadia was unable to send Philomela home. Despite this, her father kept Philomela around as he felt that training will build her confidence up. Nevertheless, Nadia joined her other sisters among the ranks of the Gaia Army, becoming one of its top soldiers; whereas Misaki, Larinia, Theodosia, and Charybdis all became the army's Elite Four. Nadia also used the training exercises being undergone to learn how to use arcane magic. And true to her mother's words, she began making the magic appear in her hands & was ready to cast spells with it. Unfortunately, her joy was short lived, as the day she was just now starting to utilize arcane magic was also the day that the Supreme Forces invaded Gaia. With the attack force lead by the Supreme Archduke, the army stood absolutely no chance and everyone with the exception of Nadia herself, her sisters, father, Julie, and even Shantae, was annihilated with barely any survivors. Nadia was in the end forced to fall back while Gaia Castle was taken by the Supreme Forces. Nadia was at her rope's end in her hopes of learning arcane power & was fixing to outright give up on her dream. However, once the Gaia Alliance was proposed to replace the destroyed Gaia Army, Nadia quickly threw her hat on the ring, vowing to help it take back Gaia no matter what it takes, and her time in the Alliance finally helped her realized her dream of using arcane power at long last. Even then, Nadia is prepared to lend a helping magic hand when needed. As with just about everyone else in Juni's family, Nadia is a very friendly & playful girl who inherits only the best qualities from Juni & Palutena. While certainly kindhearted, Nadia is known to be rowdy when excited. Nadia is a talented dancer & loves to do so when the chance arises. However, she cannot stand music that is performed badly. The best keytar player in the family.
Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Nadia is capable of taking on her mermaid form at any given moment she enters the water, but primarily transforms in fresh, or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Nadia strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. In the water, Nadia enjoys the same +10 increase to her avoid/dodge, and the doubling of movement that her other 1/2 mermaid siblings enjoy while beneath the waves. Like Caspian, Nadia begins the party as a Mage, sporting strong Magic, Resistance, Skill, and Speed. Her growth rates in those are also great, but she has better rates of growth in her Resistance than Caspian does, so Nadia can act as a sort of magic tank, but not to the extent that Charybdis, Elysia, and Styx can. Her Luck is also good with some good growth rates to it. The only major problem Nadia has is with Strength & Defense. As a Mage, Nadia's main means of attack is through the usage of nature magic, otherwise known as Anina magic. However, unlike Theodosia & Caspian, Nadia does not have immediate access to arcane magic & is unable to make use of it for the majority of the 1st Act. However, by the start of the Act's 8th chapter, she will unlock this ability. Like all magic users in her family, Nadia has a huge MP pool & she can fling spells constantly, even stronger ones, and not even come close to running low on MP for a while. Promotion wise, Nadia has the option to either become a Sage & pick up Light Magic & Staff usage, or she can promote into a Mage Knight & gain swords instead in addition to staves. Nadia begins with the following magic & skills.
Fire: Standard fire magic.
Water: Standard water magic
Frost: Standard ice magic.
Wind: Standard wind magic. Deals effective damage to fliers.
Thunder: Standard thunder magic.
Super Luck: The personal skill of Nadia. This makes Nadia's attacks more likely to land a critical hit if her opponent is on terrain that increases avoid & dodge. The boost stacks with other critical boosters.
Magic +2: Grants +2 to magic.
