Back around '03 or so i started looking at a lot of the "pixel art" online -
Having gone through a phase of doing miniature drawings and paintings, and having seen an exhibition of Miniature mosaics at the L.A. Art Museum, this struck me as a natural extension of that....

But this is the only pixel art i have done so far...
