Original Species: Shnorfel
The Shnorfel is an arboreal, predatory relative of the Snifflers. Its only known habitat is a forest on the southwestern coast of Shangrila, where temperatures are too low for most wyverns to survive. The absence of large reptilian predators allowed the Shnorfel to reach a relatively large size, at around 20 kg.
The Shnorfel's most notable feature is its mouth. It has an elongated trunk and lower lip, which are flexible and filled with muscles. It uses them to catch and better hold onto prey. As an arboreal hunter, it primarily hunts for smaller game.
