I'll be honest. I didn't play Splatoon much at the start. A family member (could NOT tell you who) bought it for me years ago and I don't think I hopped in right away. But honestly, I have to thank them for letting me experience this game! Honestly the only shooter game I've ever cared about.
I'll miss this game deeply. (it was the only one i could play online. thanks NSO). I've drawn my Octoling-sona in my old stupid outfit. (i put the headband under the hair =P) No idea why I thought this looked good but eh. (between you and me, i think my outfit actually had "cream basics" shoes, not these. but these looked better and both had fully unlocked upgrades)
Apparently there was a little extra time for the serves before they shut down but my Wii U disconnected from the internet at midnight ON THE DOT and wouldn't reconnect so I missed out on that.
After the disconnect, I used my Callie amiibo and played "Maritime Memory". A perfect goodbye song... So long, Splatoon 1. Hopefully I'll get to still play Splatoon in some way in the future, whether it's buying NSO and Spl3, finding my Spl2 cartridge or being brave enough to set up Pretendo.
i'm making this all sappy like someone died or smthn... i honestly didn't know how to write this description. but i'm sure you get the general idea of "woomy internet dead. i have sadness :(".
it's not like i don't have story mode... not that i care much for it...
