Kioshi the Riolu was bored and decided to help out her friend Cam in conquering his underwater fears a little more. They took a scuba dive to a sunken ship hidden in a lonely section of the coast.
Although Kioshi's company worked to a degree, the mewtwo was already getting comfortable this time around, so there wasn't much else to do. Of course, one thing inevitably turned into another, then they ended up scuba sparring like frogmen inside the hull of the sunken ship.
A few rounds pass with both of them nearly even on the score. The riolu was very surprised at the mewtwo's underwater fighting potential. Cam claimed he doesn't have very much experience, but he either is lying, or he's a natural fighter himself.
The duo decided to take a break for a bit.
Cam noticed that his first air tank was already close to empty, prompting the duo to perform a tank swap; perhaps the air tank wasn't filled all the way due to an error.
Kioshi activated Cam's second air tank for him, then shut down the first. His limbs shake a little, claiming to feel a little funny at first, but he gives an OK signal after that.
Kioshi became suspicious, she took a minute to physically see if her friend was alright. The air inside his mask looked a little odd... Was it... Swirling??
But before she could get a chance to figure out what was going on, Cam squeezed Kioshi's air hose, and proceeded to pin her to the nearest wall. Kioshi asked what the heck is wrong with him, kicking at his chest to break the hold. Cam simply didn't answer, getting increasingly more aggressive with his grapples. Kioshi knew something was seriously wrong, but she knew that fighting her friend could hopefully be enough to make him talk.
Suddenly, like in an action movie, a gang of suspicious divers entered the room.
It was a trap, Cam set her up. He tried to keep pinning Kioshi as they came in, but Kioshi thought fast and thrusted Cam straight at the group before vanishing through the door.
Kioshi had to escape the inside of the ship. Multiple strategies and plans went through her head at high speed. The insides of the ship may look like a labyrinth, yet Kioshi has used its awkward layout to illude criminals and rogue divers alike.
However, this group looks capable of underwater searching and may use their numbers to their advantage. Hiding it out is a bad move, so escaping the ship is a high priority. One of the goons might be covering an exit or two, ready to fight Kioshi on a moment's notice.
Kioshi had more than enough training, strength, and stamina to take on any and all of the incoming frogmen, even her own friend.
A peep of light comes from a torn side of the hull. Kioshi sticks to a wall in the dark, pausing to check and see if the coast is clear, readying to fight if a pair is hiding behind it.
Out of nowhere, she gets tackled to one of the walls, a frogman blindsides her from the darkness!
Kioshi instinctively goes for her knife, but the diver quickly deflects her arm and squeezes one of her hoses from under it. Kioshi grabs their hose with the other arm and tugs it tightly, and she thrusts a knee into their torso for good measure, making them let go.
Unable to risk getting boxed in, Kioshi hastily swims away, only for that diver to grab her legs from behind. She tugs them and performs a series of hind kicks at their torso again, stunning the diver and letting her loose.
Another frogman tackles Kioshi from the side, but she responds by recklessly pushing them into the other diver, sandwiching them to the nearest wall. The second diver pathetically holds on for dear life, still scuffling with their target until she slams them into the wall a second time. They easily let go as if she was too much for them.
Kioshi immediately swims for the exit. With no enemy divers in sight to flank her, she silently dives to the ocean floor, skimming along the rocks and away from the ship to avoid being seen...
Just as Kioshi thought the coast was clear, her chest started to hurt. She immediately looks at her oxygen gauge to see if her supply was fine, but the reading was inconclusive. Either there is something wrong with the tank, or the gauge is off! There's no way her oxygen was this low already!
No time for troubleshooting. Kioshi hurriedly breaks for the surface at all costs.
Two more divers swim straight for Kioshi from below as she rises from the cliffs. She looks down to see them, and kicks into high gear in a desperate attempt to outswim them.
The lack of air saps her stamina away, slowing her down and forcing her to fight only a mere 10 meters from the surface.
Her legs thrusts at one with success, but the other grabs her other leg and drags her down. Kioshi desperately reaches for their mask, but they grab her arm and restrain it tightly on their own. The other grabs her other arm before she could use it, both now holding her in a spread eagle formation.
Normally, a strong fighting type Riolu like Kioshi would flex their arms to easily get out of a pinch like a cliche superhero, but she couldn't gather enough oxygen to refuel what strength she had left.
Kioshi isn't going anywhere. The chase is over.
"Delta 3 to Mistress, we got her." One of the divers monotonly broadcasts their capture, holding Kioshi tightly in their arms.
...
"Yes, Mistress."
The frogmen take Kioshi back to the ship. Poor Kioshi gasped and stammered, unable to breathe properly on the way back...
...
Upon reentering the room, a feminine figure tampers with Kioshi's oxygen tank, letting her breathe again - Kioshi takes a deep breath to regain her senses.
The silhouetted figure gives the prisoner a warm welcome, delighted to finally meet her in person. "My, my, Kioshi Koyokami. That was an impressive fight you put up. You are indeed as strong as they say~"
Kioshi didn't initially recognize who this person was at first, only seeing a woman in a black, near-featureless wetsuit, with her scuba mask obscuring her face. It sounds rather cliche, but a trail of evidence soon lines up... Cases of missing people flash before Kioshi's eyes, several of them pointing to a mysterious woman in a black wetsuit and a scuba mask obscuring her face - her real name is unknown, but they all call her by a common alias, "Mistress".
Kioshi isn't delighted in the slightest, silently glaring back at the mysterious woman called "Mistress".
The woman in the black wetsuit playfully tilts her head, looking at her captive's serious, razor-sharp eyes. "Hmm, that look in your eyes... I am sure you know who I am?", the woman coyly asked, also well aware of the riolu's hard-earned and equally mysterious background.
"I am aware of who you are, and I know you have Cam with you." Kioshi coldly stated.
"Hm~ Someone has been studying~" the woman enthusiastically replied, "I assume you are wondering about your friend here?", waving her hand to one of the divers spectating the event, the light-blue mewtwo in the black wetsuit decorated in blue.
Cam mindlessly stares back with a dulled out, yet very sly look in his eyes. A rainbow-colored gas swirls inside his scuba mask, the same swirl that all the other divers have, including the two divers holding Kioshi captive. All of the other scuba divers appear to be under the woman's control.
"Don't worry, he is fine with us~" the woman continued, "Cam has been a good helper for my legion. He helped us find interesting locations, treasures, he helped build a base, and even negotiate with people that are... Less than willing to join us~"
Kioshi was disgusted by the mere sight of what's become of him; poor Cam looks like a puppet dangling under a set of strings.
The woman then wonders of Kioshi's background, "Hmm... Knowing you, Kioshi, your abilities, your fighting prowess, your cold and calculative demeanor, your... Body... You will be a perfect high-ranking commander under my legion." The woman ends her monologue with an offer to Kioshi, "Wouldn't you like to be a well-trained scuba diver, under the control of your new Mistress, just like your friend?"
Kioshi coldly refuses, "I am not joining you."
The woman is unsurprised by the response, "Hm, I figured you weren't willing to join," and smugly retorts with sinister intention, "...But perhaps after spending some time with me, I might help you reconsider~"
With a wave of her hand, the masked woman signals a spectating diver to swim up behind Kioshi. The darkness of the ship made it difficult to tell who it was, but she had a hunch on who it could be...
"Cam, cut off her oxygen." Mistress commanded.
Cam replies in a cold, evil tone, "Yes, Mistress..."
(Damn.) Kioshi is in for it now...
This is probably my longest project yet. GOOD GOD this took a while to make.
