Written in the style of a first chapter. A bit more polished than my last story (hopefully). A jumping off point for a few characters and a potentially longer story, but mainly intended as an attempt to make a furry origin story work - despite multiple admonitions.

Had a terrible time with the name of the virus, so it may change in later editions of this universe.

Very happy with Ted and Katherine. Initially side characters, I think they got some good personality and kind of took off on their own a bit while I was paying attention to Snick and Jenifer. I've heard about characters getting a life of their own like that, but I don't know if I've given any enough freedom to do so before.
