This is a rather old transformation project that I started some four years ago and then didn't do anything with for three years. It's really a bit of an experimental little thing. A lot of things I did for this comic four years ago I did for the first time:
1. This was the first comic where I decided to do all digital paneling. Even Tempest and What really happened, both of which were started after this comic, still had hand drawn panels in their first pages.
2. First ever transformation comic. I had done comics before, I had done transformation sequences before, but never both in one.
3. First ever male protagonist in a transformation (yes, just like all the other TF artists I'm female obsessed as well)
4. Speed lines experiments.
5. Attempt to have as little dialog as possible from the protagonist. He only speaks in the first panel. Everything else is grunts, onomatopoeia and monosyllabic thought bubbles.
6. My first time trying out misdirection.
Consequentially a lot of this will look slightly dated. I cleaned up the really unbearable stuff, but most everything you see here is four year old charm with a little dash of modern ink and color.

I kept arguing(friendly debate) with my friend whether this had any sort of implied gender change or not. I've actually only seen this sequence so far in snippets, and it looked genuinely like a lion earlier on (before you posted more), and the lack of mane was one thing we talked over. Wasn't really sure if it was lion(as it wasn't done yet).
To be honest I think this whole sequence as a whole has been like a little puzzle unfolding, and watching certain poses, and advancement of the direction (falling into the exhibit). I have to say through and through this would have to be one of my favorite TF pieces. Even if a little dated, I still think you did great. Great layout, direction, line art, and story so far.
