I didn’t immediately believe that I turned 26 today...🎉
In honor of this event, I painted a self-portrait again, although I spent a long time racking my brain on how best to depict it based on my state/mood. Well, I’ve gotten better at drawing hair, but overall, I still have a lot to learn.
Okay, let's talk about the meaning of this drawing in order...
-on paper I depicted, let’s say, the hope that someday I will find peace of mind. I still tolerated it, but sometimes my nerves give in. That’s why I’m often mentally tired, but I’m still holding on, it’s amazing.
- I recently realized that I fell in love with lilacs for a reason. Firstly, lilac in the language of flowers means memory and first love, but in England it means sadness and sadness, and in the East it means parting/separation. Secondly, it symbolizes spring (although I was born in April), summer nights, renewal and cleansing of a person. However, this is wildly reminiscent of my difficult life.
-I decided not to hide my shortcomings in the drawing, because like many people, I also have them. These include a hump nose, bags under the eyes, thick eyebrows, a little excess weight and hair that is sometimes unruly. I tried not to idealize my image in the drawing too much.
-The gray heron also symbolizes stubbornness and cunning. In general, I just like this bird. Many birds are beautiful in their own way.
