Vern is an ooooold character of mine, back from `06, at first some typical space captain that traveled the galaxy, leaving a trail of women with broken hearts. Since then, I have left him alone, but recently, I then reworked him into a more solid character.

His style of clothing is heavily inspired from Ethan's jacket from Advent Rising, I swear I could just kill for that jacket it looks so cool.

Anyway, he is supposed to be an urchin that grew up on the hardest of the hard streets on a world that is pretty much one big city, run by the rich, people who happily stuff their faces while those beneath them scrape for the crumbs that fall from those above. Basically only anyone with royal blood or big money can have a say in how things are run on the planet.
