Nevrra Sa-Vrrithkar, kethirr Errant Blade—as featured in the ongoing Sci-Fi story I've been writing, Astray. And more-or-less my 'sona, too.
The second I had the idea for this art, SadNicole immediately came to mind. I just knew she'd be the right person for this, and I clearly am correct on some things. Sometimes. Not that I'm surprised. She's a stellar artist and wonderful to work with.

The following was written by me, after being inspired by an early WIP:
The soft tapping of Nevrra Sa-Vrrithkar's coilblade echoed through the sandstone hall of the old shrine. Lit only by the fading light of dusk, it was otherwise silent and still. Thus far, what she had been told was true. There was no one to be found, nor any trace of their leaving. The hand-carved stone was unblemished. There was not a pockmarked wall or a drop of scarlet to be found. There were no tracks through the xeric shrubland outside; neither of fellow kethirr nor of a vehicle's passing.
Haruna and Kedarr were running scans from the Wandering Horizon, which hovered above the ancient building. The rest of Nevrra's vah was scouring the area outside. No one had found even the barest hint of anything. It was as if the vah that maintained the shrine had simply vanished—and even on the edge of the Thadkrri'ik, there were precious few places for them to have gone.
The tapping stopped. Nevrra stood before the arched double-door that led to the shrine's meditation room. It was the final place for her to check. But before her hand could press against the stone, her ears perked. One pivoted to the side and her head followed as she looked back over her shoulder. Did she imagine it? Could she have missed something in her search?
The Errant Blade turned from the door. She kept her weapon at the side, ready but not hostile. She looked down the hall and lightly sniffed at the air for whatever made the faint sound she'd heard.
