I'm thinking back to simpler times. I lived next to an industrial estate in a rural town growing up, we could break through to the big silos because of a little hole we cut in a wire fence in the park next to it. Sitting with beers and smokes, at the top of the silos. Thinking we were cool af, freezing our asses off.

Summer evenings, after the workers went home. The wind from the edge of the silo felt like flying, daring each other to go further. Sitting on my friend's legs, while he hangs off the edge half cut. I moved back into my parents house, now I'm stuck here because of an injury. From my childhood bedroom's window I have a view of the silos, and God I wish I could go there again.

Simpler times, when my biggest problems were fake IDs and not being able to afford my Video Games or Guitar strings. Now, life seems to be about waiting to solve my issues, when before I could run head first into them. I was built to be active, hate the passivity.

Simpler times, I guess? Didn't feel like that at the time.
