Makes me wonder how Gough knew whether it was Orn or not. If he could tell the wing flaps were to slow and unsteady to be an actual dragon, or if his sense of hearing is strong enough to hear for miles or smthing and he heard most of what was going on at the castle. That, or if he could hear Orn crying or something and could tell just from that.

Though, I suppose that depends on if he still has his eyesight currently or not in this AU. And its this incident that causes the kingdom to craft one to blind him for missing. Cause I feel if he could see, then he would without question know who he was shooting at just by sight alone.

Absolutely love this story, and cannot wait till you two likely craft the next one. Though I know it will be quite some time I will be waiting nonetheless with attentive eyes. These types of AU's help to fuel my imagination, so I thank you both for that. May your futures be bright and... not too expensive in the future (cause god dang is everything expensive here).
