Since the new Dune has been released recently, I want to share my vision of the design of Baron Harkonnen.
The new movies took all the fun out of it. Lynch, on the contrary, has a feast of idiocy. Vladimir's designs ranged from boring to incredibly surreal. But many artists forget that Harkonnen is described as extremely, EXTREMELY fat - this is the reason why he got the antigravs on which he floats. In neither Lynch nor Villeneuve, the Baron looks like a man who needs help getting around. But Lynch portrayed various orgies and other feasts with a bang. The baron was still a pervert, after all. Я коли починав крутитися в колах дракно-фуррів десь у 2009-му бачив на одному форумі пости з ніком "Харко(н)нен". Також бачив якось раніше на телебаченні старі версії "Дюни" і мені той барон дісно здався вкрай абсурдним та мерзенним... Але хтось все одно хотів бути Харконеном)
