That must have been quite a shock to the hellcats (and, of course, to the humans). Those first human scouts and those first hellcat natives that met each other must have been quite confused, especially considering the technology gap.
(I like the setting you created, I think there is much room for interesting sci-fi stories in here. Also, I won't be a spoilsport and point out, that a Super Earth would have higher gravity and actually produce SMALLER lifeforms than a normal earth, lets just use fetish logic in this instance. Who knows, maybe Gehenna is actually hollow in the inside or something? :)

Hellcat clan reactions to humans varied, but I could see some trying to do crude recreations of human infrastructure and practices similarly to a cargo cult. Especially once humans start giving them weapons, you might see weird imitations of human marines and their military customs.
