Remember that moment from Ice Age movie pt.3, where Diego was running, preying a prehistoric antelope...And he didn't have success that time. That failure made him think that he gets older and weaker (which I believe he doesn't!)

Diego was hunting rather dumb in that scene because he wanted to prove he "still had it." (And because, kid's movie, of course he isn't going to get the kill). By the end of the movie, he learned to hunt a whole lot smarter. And this is the result. You think he wouldn't look this idiot up and take him out of the gene pool personally? 🤣
