Terraria.
From what I can tell, it's a 2D Minecraft with way more content and a heavier focus on adventuring. Mix in some RPG elements, Sim-style city management, NPCs, and boss monster sieges, and you've got something I really want to fucking play.
The devs are however being super tight-lipped about everything.
I thought I'd show my interest by creating (what I'm pretty sure is) the first piece of Terraria fanart.
Drawn without reference, and it shows!

I showed this to Terraria creator Redigit and asked if it was good enough for him to release another gameplay video. Apparently it was, he responded with this link!

Sadly he also told me I'm not the first fanarter for it, someone on his project did some already.

Not that many people follow Notch's tweets. If Weaver's image is posted on 'v' and shared around, and Weaver does other stuff with it, it will easily exceed Notch's tweet, and anything Notch could do, really, short of saying "Minecraft is obsolete, go buy Terraria" on the minecraft news, and then making his website redirect to theirs.
I think it's a lot more likely that people will share Weaver's terraria stuff on /v/ than that Notch would do that.
