The K'Konderix is the larger relative of the minuscule K'Kungi. This creature lives primarily off a diet of mosses, fungi, and polyps native to the volcanic regions of Southern Arcadia. Due to its diet, most notably the polyps, the K'Konderix needs to deal with increased levels of sulfur in its body. Over thousands of years of evolution, this beast found a method of expelling excess sulfur that is both simple and efficient: it turned it into a defensive weapon.

On either side of its head, the K'Konderix has large sacks to store a mixture of sulfur and water. This mixture is concentrated sulfuric acid. Periodically, the K'Konderix spit out excess acid in random directions so as not to have their cheek-sacks burst. However, they never expel ALL of the acid... they keep their cheek-sacks half full in case they are ever confronted by a predator (such as a Black Lava Drake). In such situations, the K'Konderix spits acid at the attacker. This is usually enough to detour most if not all enemies.

When left to their own devices the K'Konderix are fairly docile creatures that live their lives grazing on the sparse vegetation of the volcanic region.
