Another comm finished, this time for ! Funny story, a while back I saw this adopt of an adorable sea dragon and loved the design... and what do you know, her eventual owner ended up commissioning me, so I got to draw her! Small world.

As always, I enjoyed working with the limited palette. Shading her while keeping her markings discernible posed an interesting challenge, and I think it worked quite well!

I've also got some test drawings to show you this time (link). There's the palette test, and three pose ideas. Number 3 was the one I'd had in my head all along, and it was definitely the best one there so I'm glad my client picked that one too. I got to add in an adorable little seahorse to sweeten the deal, and it looks like he's fallen in love. Who can blame him? She's such a gigantic cutie! (Literally, from his perspective.)
