I'm with Felix here. I'd want nothing to do with this.
Well that's this comic done. Was fun, but a ton of work. Time to start planning the next one which is probably going to be even longer. Also, I still haven't forgotten about the cyberpunk TF comic I have on the backburner. This stuff is all just practice as that project is rather ambitious.

Oh dear. Looks like Kaj’ll be disliking pants even more after this one. Smart of Felix to nope out of that before things got… wet.
Also, small detail, but I really dig the ear movements in the bottom three panels. Making use of expressive ears really brings furry characters to life.

He even looks pretty snazzy in those jeans. Shame it's just not meant to be.
And thanks about the ears. That was a very late adjustment I made as those three panels started being just copy pasted. I felt the ears and small changes to the shoulders and arms really helped sell it and make it feel like I didn't just cheapen out.
And thanks for the fav.

Thanks for the fav. The best revenge is considerably more subtle. I'm sure Kaj thought how pathetic it was at first.
Kaj: I can wear pants, just watch me. These are rather warm and constrictive. I feel all itchy with them on. No worries, I'm sure I can just shapeshift out of this? Oh that didn't work. I guess I can just wait this out. Wait... maybe I shouldn't have just drunk that whole glass of iced tea. Oh no...

No zip and it shapeshifts with his form so he can't even slide out of them that way.
In my opinion, I think there's a difference between not wearing shirts and not wearing pants. Also, there isn't really a good reason Felix hasn't purchase and started wearing shirts yet, other than he's probably rather lazy and doesn't like clothes shopping (and I'd actually have to design more outfits for him).
Anyways, thanks for the fav.

I don't believe we've seen Kaj shapeshift before, how capable is he of it? And how does he know it was Rhelki who had her revenge, could she not help but gloat a little? ;)
"In my opinion, I think there's a difference between not wearing shirts and not wearing pants." - I read this as skirts and wondered where you were going with it! Actually I agree, I was only playfully having a dig at him.
And y/w!

He's actually very proficient at it. He isn't like Keitèl who can just morph his body around bullets and stuff (seriously, that fox could probably just be like the T-1000 if he wanted), but can still morph himself into any reasonable form. It just takes him a minute or two.
Well... there was that dress idea you gave me... ;)

Ah, interesting! Are we going to see Kaj displaying this ability in the story? And yes Keitel seems super-proficient, a lot of practice I suppose!
"Oh, and I figured he realized it was Rhelki because putting the pants on him most definitely awoke him from his daydream." - significantly better than waking up to find someone is removing your pants from you ;)
Also that's such a strange difference between American English and British English, trousers is used instead and pants are male underwear, of course panties is American for female underwear, though that's catching on over here somewhat as well but it's still not common.

Oh, Kaj will definitely be using it. It just hasn’t come up yet.
Someone on DA actually suggested that Kaj get back at Rhelki by making it so she wouldn’t be able to wear pants. I think she might actually kill Kaj if he tried to pull that one.
We do use both, but pants is probably more common. I’m actually glad for both terms. Let’s me alternate them in my writing.

Hah, that was fun. I am one of the few who is more on the side of Kaj, but that's mainly because I like his pants-free look. :P Somehow just fits him.
And it must be some magic with these pants with how they can't be taken off. There must be some counter-measure for such things! But I suppose Kaj haven't thought of any and if there was a next page, it would be... well... kinky?

I mean I like the pants-less look too. You are right. These pants are definitely enchanted so he can't get them off. He can't even shapeshift out of them. I wouldn't worry though, they'll eventually fall off him (my next Q&A has an answer to why he doesn't normally wear pants in the first place).
As for if the next page would be kinky? Well, I guess if you're into that. Not really my thing, and I'm not drawing more. Feel free to imagine it though if it makes you happy.

Felix looks suspiciously like FA's mascot,
but I am so happy to see an enfield beast!
They are so rare and precious, even in the most
fantasy-friendly cultural circles!
As other people have noted, you use the ear movements
to its full effectiveness in enhancing the character expressions here.
Good on you for thinkin through the tail accessibility
in those pants! Tailoring for furry characters
in all their infinite diversity must be
a special kind of hell.
(Or a welcome challenge for true Master Couturiers.)

I've never really thought about it, but I guess he does look a bit like Fender.
Thanks for noticing the expressions. That was one of the biggest things I was working on with these pages.
And yes, trying to figure out how to make furry friendly outfits and devices must be a worldly challenge. I have a feeling that there would not be so many one size fits all solutions and instead would require lots of specialized choices to match every tail, muzzle, and ear shape.

The way I'd imagine it for things like tail holes is that when purchasing trousers you'd have a extra value for tail size. So like, waist, length, tail width would be the different choices when selecting purchasing clothing. Other things like glasses or headphones would probably need to have more specialization to fit different species based on muzzle and ear shape (at least for over the ear headphones).
All good ideas, thank you for sharing them!
Animal people-accessible trousers could also have
a sort of second zipper line in the back, except
with buttons or hook-and-loops,
so that the wearer could freely
regulate where the opening
would be.
Ear pieces could employ elastic wire
with multiple clips or fur-adhesive
stirps for keeling them in place.
The principal differences in design would be
along the lines of body size, which could be extreme
for the furry characters, for the fur-scale-and-feather surface types,
and the exotic specialty models for hedgehogs, bats, snakes and amphibious types.
This conversation has reminded me of this clothes design picture.
It's cool when people get so creative about the relatively mundane aspects of the furry character fashion and utility.
