Kaddafi is dead over one year, and all this Free Libya thing occured to be a falsification. There is no longer any state of Libya, there is only a geographic land called Libya where used to be The Greatest Arab Libyan People's-Socialist Jamahiriyya.

I used to hate Kaddafi and support this "revolution", but then I opened my eyes. I will trust US no more.

Since the NATO is involved into the dispensation of Libya, they will be a part of a new Goverment till a new Leader is found.

These may be rebels fighting 4 democracy right now, but by the end, it will be Muslim extremists fighting for an Islamic state and these rebels will fall right into their hands b/c they do not want separation of mosque and state. I'm pretty sure you have to be way more careful as a demonstrater in the States. In Europe (most parts) it's very common, as we are pretty free to do what we want.

Yeah, we get thrown in jail for protesting the wrong thing here. Or worse.

Americans think they have all this freedom. We don't. We're all slaves, though we have competing masters. Sadly, most Americans are just too ignorant to know.

These middle-east demonstrations and uprisings initially gave me a glimmer of hope that they might spread to America. But, people are too busy enjoying their iPhones to notice that they aren't free. In the meantime, they keep people who yearn to be free from actually being free.

Correct. Qaddafi only controlled one of the states, and he did so through dictatorship. Americans in their infinite ignorance, fail to realize that middle eastern countries are fiercely tribal. Control is difficult to maintain, and factions are always splitting off and trying to take over. Throw in American subversion, efforts to replace unfriendly dictators with those who American companies can exploit, and you have a real mess, and a lot of dead people.

I support freedom for Lybians, but this isn't how they're going to get it. And things are only going to get worse as the population continues to grow and resources continue to be used up.
