Lieutenant Kim has been an exemplary member of the BCPU for several years. She is ruthless and efficient, but that has not always been the case. When she started in the BCPU, she was more gentle, hoping to find some good in the criminals she dealt with, certainly a rare trait for a BCPU member. But, early on in her career, there was an incident that changed her perspective. A man suspected of shoplifting managed to escape by feigning surrender and trying to appeal to Kim's good side. Her split second of trust was instantly betrayed when the criminal slashed Kim's face with a pocket knife and ran away. Leaving a scar on her both physically and mentally. That scar served as a constant reminder of her moment of weakness, and of her unfinished business.
Years passed, but Lieutenant Kim never forgot the one who got away. She did not know his name, but she remembered his sleazy face as he slashed her. So every once in a while, Kim took a few hours to look through recent mugshots hoping he would run afoul of the law again. Until finally, the day of reckoning arrived. The criminal who had managed to evade justice was captured again. This time, not for some lowly shoplifting. No, this time for a double homicide, presumed to be a drug deal gone wrong. This time, there would be no escape.
Lieutenant Kim has pulled some strings and called in some favors to be assigned executioner duty for this specific criminal. On the day of his execution, she made her way over to the BCPU prison and to the small changing room for the executioners. Preparing for the task ahead, she donned a full-body protective suit and carefully secured a gas mask to her face, ensuring that every inch of her was shielded from the toxic environment she was about to create. And this wouldn't be a quick execution. No, Kim wanted the criminal to suffer. She had taken some steps to ensure so. A few hours ago she went to the BCPU lab to pick up something special for today. An unmarked gas grenade looks just like the normal ones the BCPU uses, but the contents of this one were altered. Still just as deadly, just not as fast, and certainly not painless.
Entering the small, metal room, Lieutenant Kim saw the criminal lying bound in restraints. And when the door closed, the room, as well as his fate, was sealed. Kim took a moment to gaze into the criminal's eyes. There was a bit of fear in them, which turned to full-blown terror when he noticed the scar and recognized the cobalt-blue eyes behind the gas mask. Kim smirked behind her mask when she noticed she also left an impression on him at that time. Then, keeping eye contact, Lieutenant Kim took a seat on the criminal's restrained body, non-verbally letting him know that, this time, she was in charge, and he was not getting away again. Kim relished in the feeling of power this gave her, getting back some of the control she never noticed she lost.
Grasping the gas grenade tightly in her gloved hand, Kim watched the helpless criminal's reaction, his eyes now filled with terror and desperation. She couldn't help but revel in the anticipation. With a swift motion, she pulled the pin, sending the lever of the grenade flying off, a metallic ding when it hit the wall echoed as a hiss became audible, the release of toxic fumes into the confined room. Time seemed to slow as the gas filled the space, harmlessly swirling around Kim, but invading the criminal's lungs with its deadly embrace. Kim watches as the criminal's face contorts in agony, observing every minute detail. The sweat dripping down his face, the desperate gasps for air, and the growing agony etched upon his face as he struggled to breathe. She didn't merely watch, she savored the moment, finding a sense of gratification in his suffering, knowing that she had finally brought him to his rightful end.
As the life drained from his eyes, Lieutenant Kim felt more than a sense of closure, she felt a release from the pain that had haunted her for far too long. She felt justice.

It has been a little while. But unfortunately, life is still busy, so I hope you won't mind another longer wait for the next artwork.
Then, a small question for you, dear viewer.
Thus far, I've primarily focused on creating art featuring my original characters, occasionally fulfilling requests for other original characters as well.
But I was thinking that it might be interesting to draw some more well-known pre-existing characters in scenarios and gear I normally draw.
However, I was wondering what you would think of it. Most of the scenarios I would put them in would be rather different from their usual portrayal, hence my hesitation.
I have a few characters in mind from games, comics, and anime/manga but I have no definite plans yet, but a bit of feedback would be appreciated.
Feedback and or art tips are always welcome.
