Language learning
Experimenting with different visual cues to show that a character is not quite fluent in a language yet.
I made like 4 different ways to express this with blur, colour cues and partly translated bits. You can see those and commentary here:

(the other language is kalaallisut, a real language spoken in greenland, albeit machine translated and probs not 100% accurate)

i've been playing with those blorbos in my head before sleep for a couple weeks btw... idk how much adhd would let me do anything about this. but i can try! its basically the first time i have a structured story with beginning, middle and end in my head. often i only think of headworld setting, biology or small interaction bits and have a hard time thinking of where do i want to go with it. this one kinda solid. maybe i should hold onto this chance to make something.
One of the hardest language of all time and has confusing grammer.
A underrated linguistic youtuber named Iamshawn getoffmylawn has made video about Kalaallisut greenlandic language here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCDUxYtt7cM

thats a cool video, thanks for sharing!
personally i find the grammar very cool! its definitely different and complex, suffixed languages like that are amazing. i've been learning guarani which is also full of suffixes (though not as agglutinated) and at least with guarani i feel like that once you get the hang of it you can express so many complex thoughts with just adding an extra suffix in the right spot, which is an easier side of those languages in comparision to having to learn a whole lot of articles and verbal conditions positions and inclinations such as with indo-european languages! im saying that because i find that while there is the difficulty of unfamiliarity, theres also the very pratical side of "just add an extra suffix" to it, so its not all just the horrors! :)
